About Emily Barton
Emily Barton is a visual display artist with a widespread arts background including a focus and passion for fiber arts.
Emily Barton received her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Coastal Carolina. Her thesis focused on knit and crochet installation art. Her love of all things fiber was the catalyst to her exploration education in fine art. Crocheting, macramé, knitting and weaving are the particular techniques she uses in her work. Materiality holds an important place in her design process. You can often find metal, wood and fiber used in combination throughout her designs.
Visual and Event Display
After college Emily Barton started her visual arts career working for Anthropologie as a display coordinator. Most noteworthy, in 2017 she was voted as Best American Maker: Arts & Crafts by USA Today.
Her experience working for companies such as Anthropologie and Magnolia has trained her to take a unique aesthetic and create elements of display that reflects that brand’s style. This experience translates when designing custom display for an individual, couple or organization, product, wedding or event. Emily Barton Design can work with you to discuss your specific style and needs to create custom displays and décor elements that will be representative of you and the style you hope to achieve.
