Spring at the Silos, Barton Craft Design
Emily's business, Barton Craft Design was selected to be a part of the 2018 Spring at the Silos vendor fair hosted by Magnolia. Spring at the Silos features over 60 artisan vendors and food trucks from around the country who set up shop at Magnolia Market.
The vendors were each given a 10'x10' tent space to showcase their work and products. Emily utilized her background in visual display in both a retail and event context to create a space that embodied the modern, bohemian aesthetic of Barton Craft Design.
She built custom fixtures to cleanly showcase the Barton Craft Design's handmade jewelry, wall hangings and large 10-foot custom crochet piece as the backdrop of her booth. This piece was originally custom made for her wedding but fit the booth dimensions and style perfectly. In addition to fixturing the space, Emily curated the decor elements such as the rug, greenery, tablecloths and signage to engage the vendor fair attendees and draw them into the space.
Emily is available to consult with and design for shop owners and artisans that want custom visual display elements or fixtures for their space at a particular event or to represent their brand's unique aesthetic.
"Not only does the Silos offer bountiful stands from across the U.S., the event also incorporated local companies as well. Barton Craft and Design catches visitors eyes immediately, with its collection of intricate woven tapestries, jewelry and wall hangings. However, it’s Emily Barton, the stand’s talented and versatile owner that keeps customers hooked on her designs." - Baylor Lariat
