Clad & Cloth

In 2019 Emily Barton Design was tasked with designing the interior and exterior of the first ever Clad & Cloth retail store located in Provo, Utah. Emily designed the store’s floor plan and merchandising structure and installed custom shelving, clothing racks, and accessory fixtures which she designed and built. The cash wrap was another of her custom design/build pieces. Emily was responsible for the design and execution of the fitting rooms as well as the German schmear surface treatment on the store’s façade. She created an art installation of treated driftwood that swoops over the entrances to the building. All of the store’s interior visual display was designed and created by Emily. The hanging dried and silk floral elements, the 168 square foot preserved moss wall, the canopy of tree branches “growing” from the wall, the trail of vines, the floral installations in the fitting rooms, all were custom designed and implemented by Emily Barton Design.
