Vow’d Weddings Raleigh, NC

Summer 2021 Vow’d Weddings opened a new store front in Raleigh, NC and asked Emily to design, create and install an exterior window display, interior window display and interior displays to be used a photo backdrop for brides and bridal parties to take their picture with. She created hanging floral installations that consisted of handmade paper palm leaves, paper ruscus vines, fabric carnations were hand dyed and stiffened with glue and roses made from painted drop cloth canvas. In addition to these handmade elements, Emily incorporated dried natural elements like pampas grass, bleached gypsophila and dried bunny tails to add texture and sophistication to the colorful displays. The exterior installation utilized tyvek, a weatherproof house wrapping material typically used in construction so that the installation could be somewhat protected from the elements. The flowers in the exterior installation were sealed with polycrylic for the same purpose.
